Erhm ... where did you read this? I have read the description at http://www.fltk.org/about.html just a few minutes before. Perhaps it is my non-knowledge about English, but I have understand, that FLTK was originally developped for in-house products of Mr. Spitzak's employer. But then, as politics changed, they have decided not to use FLTK any longer. So it was not leftover from an abandoned project. But the new boss of Mr. Spitzak has simply decided not to use it anymore. It was already used successful in some projects. Perhaps that was, what you have meant. If so, then sorry for the confusion my bad English skills have brought to you. ... > > I would use Ruby/GTK instead of wxWindows if I have a choice! Then, if (when/more) > Linux venders (and Why not? But OTOH, I do not think, that Ruby have to include any GUI at all. It is somewhat bothersome for newbies to get all they want if it was split, but it would make distribution much easier, IMHO. I would not add any GUI to Ruby. But in the download section I would group Ruby distribution together with some GUI extensions and links to the GUI libs as well. So the user could decide on the first glance, what GUI to take. He could fetch all necessary files then, because all links are available on the right place. ... > Conrad \cle
